CHARLESTON, SC—September, 29 2008— As the fourth highly-anticipated year of the BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival gets underway, the non-profit organization is pleased to announce new board members and two new significant additions to the staff.
Randi Weinstein has joined the Festival as the Events and Logistics Manager and Sara Donahue has joined as the Events and Logistics Coordinator. In these roles, the two will oversee and manage all of the event and logistical details for the Festival, including working with planning committee volunteers, managing the local and guest chefs participating in the events, developing the Culinary Village and Grand Tasting Tents and much more. Weinstein worked as a Festival consultant on the 2007 Festival and Donahue served as an intern for the 2008 Festival.
“We are so excited to have both Randi and Sara return to the Festival as full-time team members. Their knowledge, dedication and experience will help ensure the best Festival yet,” stated Angel Postell, Executive Director.
Several new voting board members have been selected for the 2008-2009 Festival including:

• Marion Sullivan, Culinary Program Specialist, Culinary Institute of Charleston, Food Editor

The fourth annual BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival, scheduled for March 5-8, 2009, combines the city’s best gastronomic experiences into one delicious weekend. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in the unique flavors of the Lowcountry while tasting the epicurean delights of the country’s best chefs, authors and wine professionals.
