CIA trained James Burns’ culinary passion began at his grandmother’s table. In the honest flavors of hearty roasts and superbly fresh vegetables, Burns discovered the virtues of real food. Burns opened J. Bistro in 1994, remaining loyal to honest food and showcasing the culinary products of the lowcountry. In 2006 Burns sold the restaurant to focus on catering and j.b.c. was born.
